Position Overview
Engages in routine office administration functions in laboratory administration, human resources, client service, and billing. The position requires good judgment, communication and interpersonal skills, office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and associated insurance/laboratory system skills, attention to detail, and the ability to seek support from all available resources, inside and outside the company.
Office Location: Torrance, California
Key Responsibilities
• Managing day-to-day tasks relating to reporting and requests for information, and coordinating special projects as assigned.
• In accordance with established procedures, perform a variety of routine and non-routine administrative, clerical, Human Resources tasks and data collection tasks for the manager of officer
• Assist the Human Resources Director with onboarding, hiring documentation, and exit interviews, including all HR management tasks.
• Gather statistics and general data, employee information; review and combine this information into established reports for use internally
• May develop new reports or revise existing reports as directed. Such reports may be in spreadsheet or graphical formats or narrative-style word processing
• Perform various office or Human Resources administrative, clerical, data entry, and report writing tasks
• Manage international guests or colleagues with travel, hotel, and transportation as needed
• Prepare general correspondence and maintain general and employee files
• Receive direction from immediate supervisor in completing non-routine assignments
• Answer telephone, take and relay messages, screen callers and direct calls accordingly
• Maintain an organized workspace by keeping documents and office supplies properly stored
• Updates systems with correct information, assisting in collecting missing items by contacting clinics, and supporting audits by gathering needed data.
• Reconciling lab work by billing status and location, maintaining accurate logs, developing reports to ensure data accuracy, and escalating any trends or issues to management.
• Verifying the accuracy of lab accessioning, ensuring tests are ordered correctly, confirming insurance and codes, and resolving issues with lab paperwork to ensure it is complete and correctly submitted to the biller.
Qualifications
• Not required Human Resources experience but willingness to learn about Human Resources management.
• Minimum of two to three years’ relevant corporate work experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong time management skills; ability to communicate about and implement efficiencies;
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred to experience working at a medical institution (hospital/clinic/laboratory, etc.)
• Education: Preference given to Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Language: Korean & English
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
